“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
Join us for worship this week. All are welcome!
Current Weekly Schedule
All Sunday morning worship services offer free childcare for those infant to 6 years.
Holy Week at CLC
- Palm Sunday—March 25, Worship 9:00 & 11:15 am
Palm branches handed out to the congregation, a special children’s message and parade with palms at the beginning of each service, and the Palm Sunday gospel reading from Mark. New members will also be received at each service, and ASL interpretation will be offered at the 9:00 a.m. service.
- Maundy Thursday, Seder Meal—Thursday, March 29, 6:00–7:30 pm
The Seder Meal is a 90-minute worship service that follows the ritual of a Passover Meal and the Last Supper. We begin in the church sanctuary, walk in silence to the Fellowship Hall, and continue with eating the Passover Meal with explanations of each part of the
ritual. There will be a time for visiting as we finish our meal. We continue with Holy
Communion and then return to the sanctuary in silence for the stripping of the altar. Childcare will be provided while children are not eating with their families. A free will offering will be taken to help pay for the food. Because a meal is included as part of the service, it is crucial that you sign up to attend by Sunday, March 25. The sign-up sheet is on the table in the narthex and includes volunteer opportunities to set-up tables, prepare food, and clean-up.
- Good Friday Service—March 30, 7:30–8:30 pm
The promise of resurrection is made more powerful by experiencing Good Friday. Before worship (6:30–7:15 p.m.) or after worship (8:30–9:15 p.m.), walk the labyrinth to remember the sorrowful path Jesus walked to the cross. During worship we will have the opportunity to touch, pray, listen, and act the story of Good Friday, or sit quietly to listen to special
music telling the story of Good Friday.
- Easter Sunday—April 1, Worship 9:00 & 11:15 am
We celebrate the triumph of Jesus’ resurrection with special music, the Easter message, and a free light Easter brunch and multi-generational service project between services.
